Street Fighter IV

discuss about the fighting game street fighter 4 in here...

i myself havent played it that much....

my bf first got it on xbox....
he also got himself xbox live access (online gaming).. and played against various ppl all over the world...
i only once played it... as he wanted to try out some stuff... and i got to play in the versus mode... loosing all the time XD

but since arcade sticks are sooo expesive for xbox (for now) .. over 100 €...
he bought SF4 for PS3 (45€) and an arcade stich for PS3 (56€)
now he sits te whole day playing SF4 XD
but on PS3... there are less ppl online... so he sometimes ends up waiting quite long for another player either to show up... or for one with a good connection... as it would start to lag with bad connection =P


i got to play too, played the arcade mode... on the easiest mode... (wanted to set free some chars.. so he allowed me to play XD)
played with sakura... and after a few deaths.. even won ... yay me! ^^
at first i had some real difficulties to get even started... got killed in no time using the arcade stick... then switched to normal PS3 controller and after some while it worked out... though i still cant really use those tchniques >_> ... lol they just happen coincidentally XD
with seth i died a few times and finally even won ^^
then tried the same using C.Viper... but i just failed with seth (only winning 1 round)... in the end my bf did the last match and won... me pouting =P

but after that i stopped playing... my hands really hurt >.>

now ive also played thorugh it with chun-li

I played SFIV, I lost all matches I played online...and pretty much hated it. Its pretty awesome for a 2D fighter but I can't get past the idea of having almost no room to fight, and no ability to block.

you actually CAN block...
and you also dont need to press some complicated button combo to do it
just press your stick in to the back... and youll block XD

x.x Dang it, Im horrible at these 2D fighters. Shooters and 3D games are a different story but I hate being so limited. I played 30 matches online...and won 0.

are you using xbox or ps3 to play???

Ps3, and I just rented it...as I do with the majority of games because that way I can get through them quick and play many.

well over the weekend I bought a ps 3 from a friend and he gave me his games with it. One of which is the topic of this discussion. I havent tried it yet but I tend to lose interest in any fighting game that is not mortal kombat XD

but I will try it............after I finish ghostbusters XD

and maybe this weekend we can play against each other ^^
depends if you have internet connection with it

and if we do dont worry it will be n equal fight since I have barely any idea how to play it XD

hopefully the connection wont be too bad...
because of the distance between us... lol
