RPing - gathering first ideas

First topic message reminder :

i useally intended to make a whole new category for the RPing section...

but so far i only have 1 forum where the random RPs can be held..
no specific ones...

if the users want one or more specific RPs...
i am going to implement one...

but therefore we need ideas and a lot of work will be needed

well...
i also think thief is rather something basic...
wizard... a mage???

i also sugest that... classes would split into dfferent classes...

like mage could splits to some genjutsu type of mage... or lets say beast master... you can choose your path....

well... that was just an idea...

but maple story has something we might get inspiration from... they also have those splitting classes...

like as warrior you start as swordsman... then can go the following paths:
>> fighter >> crusader
>> page >> knight
>> spearman >> dragon knight

well.. im not saying to make exactly as them.. but get inspiration from them...

other classes in maple story:

magician:
>> wizard (fire/poison) >> mage (f/p)
>> wizard (ice/lightning) >> mage(i/l)
>> cleric >> priest ... the healer type

bowman:
>> hunter >> ranger
>> crossbow man >> sniper

rogue:
>> assassin >> hermit
>> thief >> thief master

erm... im unsure what else would need to be split at the moment but ill look closer when i get home...

healer, priest, monk?

with healer i just want to throw this in there aswell.

Technically they were maple stories lol

Though these are the best so far...but we should probably add a few more, and remove a few unneeded ones, i.e. sage, paladin.

i just took that from maple story...
so yeah... it just should us inspire how something could work...

but of course we can make it different...
i've also seen splitting on some other games....

but whereever it was... you always started as one of the basics... and then advange and choose your way...
same wih healer type... the first are mages... learning the basics you could say... and then advance to healer

well... i'd suggest the warrior, mage, archer, thief/ninja, and well... something dragon rider style...

sure warriors will have magic skills too...

if you want to keep samurai it could go

well id consider a sumurai as an advance weapon user/ swordsman due to skill..

samurai can be one way of the splitting thing

if thats how you want but if you are going to have swordsman i suggest you have samurai after that or after knight (depending what your base is)

Well its your RPG kiri so you pick what you want to branch from what o.O when thats done we can all move forward.

You could make it like, Warrior > Fighter etc. if you keep to fists. Or

Warrior > Pikeman > Dragoon for lances etc.

But that makes it more complicated o.o;;

warrior could seperate between fighter and pikeman/knight or what ever...

actually a good idea... we cold implement another class.... warriors those with weapons... and those without....

and... weaponless (or maybe basic weapons like a stick... or knuckles)....... hmmm.... dont know how to call them.. but yes... maybe something in the direction of kunfu fighting (weaponless) ... or monk...(dont they use sticks?)

O_o seriously this is odd, does there have to be a class at all, i mean anyone can handle a bow (crossbow) with a few hours of training, a sword isnt that hard either, its all about what you want to learn so basically what im saying is that the skills one learns is more like what you become... its not like before you start you instantly say im a mage and then you can use magic to an extent, it just sounds too.... simple? idk maybe its the opposite but im confused...

anyway im gonna go with dragon riders x.x

The starting class for fist-fighters could be street brawler or something, lol. It should eventually lead to monk (And no they just use sticks) they use different styles of martial arts and have Ki abilities =D Eg. immune to disease, stunning fist, etc. =3

Wizard (Pick one element)>>Mage(Pick two elements)>>Sage(Pick three elements)
Necromancer(If you pick dark as an element)

Wizard Elements: Fire, lightning, water, earth
Mage Elements: Fire, lightning, water, earth, poison, ice, wind, light
Sage Elements: Fire, lightning, water, earth, poison, ice, wind, wood, metal, light, sound

Cleric>>Priest>>Shaman

Rogue:
Theif>>Master Theif
Mercenary>>Asssasin>Outlaw

Dragon Rider:
We'll sort that out later...

Fighter:

Page>>Knight>>Paladin
Warrior>>Crusader
