races

First topic message reminder :

here we can discuss about races...

do we even need to implement races...
if yes...
what kind of races should there be...
what are their differences...
their abilities...
etc....

Gaara it would be impossible to blance such a creature

I mean that would be like adding buulrogs or ents from lord of the rings

I mean if there were more lvls then 4 I guess one could say that it ould 2x the exp to lvl for such character but that is not possible, since everyone would start at lvl 1 and these rces would have distinct advantages that could never be matched

and what are their abilities?

The azura are geanial with magic and technology of some sort machines etc, but they are small and got fragile bodies, azura are good with especially healing magic, they are also very good with potions and stuff (mainly alcemy but also antidotes) they normally live underground...

Charr (on the upper pic) are very good at close combat and can almost match elves with archery, they are also potentially good with swords and can bear heavy armor withouth slowing them down too much, they make great new siege weapons and also have a potential in in beastmastery... they arent very good at magic though...

Since we are implementing both races and classes I suggest we limit the races to about 5 otherwise things won't really go too smooth.

you could put it that way yeah... but i already said they are a savage race

but before we are able to use any of the races at all..
we need to balance them...

like said..
if we say a race is good in magic... but weak at hand to hand combat... then of course everyone who wants to be a mage chooses this race...
but that would not be balancing...
as they also would need some disadvantage even if they are mages...

what we could do is start with a few races at first

but maybe allow new races to enter later as like event creatures and once they are defeated maybe allow players to create a new character in that type

How about we start off with three =o Like Elves, Humans and Dwarves. One would be fast and good at magic, one would be balanced and the other would be strong and tough.

yeah...
but they would need to get ballanced anyway...
i mean.. one that wants to make a mage type...
they would definitly take elf for their race..
so the races themselfs need disadvantages even in their preferred class

do as you wish, i think magic is overrated, over all

and if we are not able to do it at all...
we are going to have races only on a rp basis... not effecting anything in battles or skills
