sub or dub - which do you prefer?
subbed VS dubbed
First topic message reminder :
well... i myself prefer watching anime subbed... and not dubbed...
sure ... it depends on the anime itself...
but yeah... sub ftw

Re: subbed VS dubbed
only slightly, was commenting on kiris comment ^^;;
but anyways I think you are always going to have translation issues from one language to the next since words can have multi meanings and of course each language has its own slang and translators like to put it in the languages slang to make it sound more realistic to their target audience

Re: subbed VS dubbed
whee! I prefer subbed too o.o
if you on't understand what they're saying in the dubbed version, you have to keep playing it back and go "What did that guy say?" (that happened to me once^^) at least if it's subbed, you can read what they're saying^^

Re: subbed VS dubbed
yep...
also... for those that arent english... (when watching english dub)
can easily just stop it... and look it up in the dictionary...
did it quite often in the beginning XD
while when you dont understand... you might not even know what word is which and how it is written...
though yeah... it also happened to me often in german dub... that i simply didnt understand something

Heh don't get me wrong I like subs too cause I'm into Japanese stuff but at times if I could choose I would pick dub just to hear it in my language so if anything..I shouldve voted "I don't care" XD
